Contracts, clauses and memos require repeated first-draft work.
Legal work with Microsoft 365 Copilot — sources, privilege and human review
Use one transferable prompt method across contract drafting, review, comparison, legal memos, compliance tracking, privacy work, correspondence and research. Copilot supports drafts and issue spotting; authorised professionals remain responsible for verification, advice and decisions.

From approved source to authorised legal use
Copilot supports preparation. It does not provide formal legal advice. It does not approve contracts, validate compliance or decide legal outcomes. No autonomous legal authority is granted.

Legal teams spend significant time rebuilding first drafts, comparisons, trackers and summaries.
The challenge is not to automate legal judgement. It is to structure repeatable work while preserving source quality, confidentiality, privilege, version control and authorised review.
Legal information is spread across documents, email, meetings and spreadsheets.
Clause deviations, omissions and potential risks are difficult to present consistently.
Compliance checklists, registers and trackers require recurring maintenance.
Long legislation, policy and case-law material must be summarised and verified.
Correspondence and board briefings take time to prepare and review.
Contract, privacy, compliance and risk data are often maintained manually.
Teams remain uncertain about confidentiality, privilege, GDPR, sources and accountability.
Prepare legal work more systematically — without delegating legal responsibility.
Results depend on jurisdiction, source quality, source currency, templates, licences, governance and human validation.
Eleven practical workflows with explicit review boundaries.
Every exercise uses fictional, anonymised or explicitly approved documents. The output is a training draft, checklist or issue list — not approved advice or a production legal system.

Word
Contract drafts, clauses, review notes, legal memos, policies, advisory drafts and summaries.
Drafts require source, template and legal review.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
Source-based synthesis, issue spotting, comparison, research planning and multi-step preparation.
It does not guarantee current or complete legal sources.
Excel
Clause matrices, contract registers, compliance trackers, processing records, risks, actions and deadlines.
Formulas, scores, deadlines and status require independent validation.
Outlook
Legal correspondence, advisory email, demand letters, stakeholder updates and follow-up.
Sending does not guarantee legally effective notice or deadline control.
PowerPoint
Board briefings, legal updates, compliance awareness and decision overviews.
Claims and decisions require authorised approval.
Teams
Legal meetings, negotiations, recaps, decisions, open points, actions and owners.
Transcripts and recaps require completeness and privilege review.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Notebooks
A bounded workspace for selected contract, policy or legal knowledge sources.
Not an automatic single source of truth; sources and access require ownership.
Agent Builder
Prototype simple contract-review, clause-check, policy-Q&A or intake assistants.
Requires governance, testing, ownership and lifecycle management.Practical capabilities within a one-day training.
The course supports controlled working methods. It does not confer legal qualification, current legal knowledge, compliance, certification or decision authority.
From governed prompting to a bounded legal-assistant prototype.
Privilege, source control and authorised judgement remain visible.
Production use may require legal leadership, DPO, compliance, security, procurement, records management, external counsel and other authorised owners.
This page and training do not provide legal, privacy, compliance, security, tax or professional advice. Automated deadline calculation is high risk and requires an independently validated calendaring process. Final decisions remain with authorised professionals and governance bodies.
For legal and governance professionals adopting Copilot in a controlled way.
For lawyers, legal advisers, in-house counsel, legal operations, compliance, contract, privacy, IP, risk, policy and procurement professionals with legal responsibility.

Practical answers before requesting a proposal
Who is this legal training for?
Legal, compliance, privacy, contract, risk and related professionals seeking controlled use of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Is technical or legal prior knowledge required?
No technical prior knowledge is required. The course is not foundational legal education and assumes participants understand their professional role.
Which Microsoft 365 Copilot licence and services are needed?
Exact licences, service plans, tenant settings and feature availability must be confirmed before delivery.
Can I attend without an active licence?
Participation may be more observational when the required access is unavailable.
Can I work with my own contracts or matters?
Only fictional, anonymised or explicitly approved documents under the organisation’s confidentiality, privilege, access and records rules.
How are confidentiality, professional secrecy and privilege protected?
They require prior assessment, need-to-know access, approved environments and professional review. Protection varies by jurisdiction and context.
Can Copilot create legally correct contracts or advice?
No. It can support drafts and issue spotting, but qualified professionals must verify and approve the work.
Can Copilot reliably find cases, legislation and sources?
It can assist research planning and synthesis, but every source, date, version, jurisdiction and pinpoint reference must be checked.
How do I verify citations and cut-off dates?
Open each original source, confirm authority and status, and record jurisdiction, version and cut-off date.
Can Copilot approve a contract or assess enforceability?
No. Contract approval, enforceability and negotiation authority remain with authorised professionals.
Can Copilot validate a processing record, DPIA or compliance check?
No. It may support preparation, but formal validation and approval remain with authorised owners.
Can Copilot calculate legal deadlines or limitation periods?
Do not rely on it as a calendaring system. Deadlines are high-risk and require an independently validated process.
What is the role of human, DPO, compliance and legal review?
They verify sources, privilege, facts, legal interpretation, risk, data handling and authorised decisions.
What is the difference between Copilot Chat, Copilot Notebooks and Agent Builder?
Chat supports preparation, Notebooks provides a bounded workspace using selected sources, and Agent Builder prototypes reusable assistants. Availability and controls must be confirmed.
Will I build a legal assistant?
The programme includes a simple training prototype without autonomous advisory, contract, compliance or decision authority.
Can the training be delivered in-company, modularly or adapted?
Delivery and adaptation options can be discussed, but modular delivery must be commercially and operationally confirmed.
In which languages is it available?
The page is prepared in English, French and Dutch. Final delivery languages must be confirmed.
Which materials or follow-up are included?
These details are published only after the final offer has been approved.
Practical learning you can apply immediately at work.
Participants value the clarity, energy and immediate application of every WorkWithAI workshop.
