Recognition

The other party has a dossier. Your preparation needs more than polished wording.

The opportunity is not mind-reading or automated persuasion. It is a disciplined preparation workflow that makes facts, hypotheses, alternatives, scenarios and approval limits easier to challenge.

Preparation starts too late and remains reactive.

Information exists, but there is no clear negotiation picture.

Interests, pressure points, decision-makers and possible red lines are insufficiently explored.

Leverage is assessed only once the meeting has already started.

Negotiations begin without a clear BATNA, opening position or concession plan.

Arguments are improvised when pressure rises.

Value is given away too quickly without receiving anything in return.

Notes, agreements and follow-up are spread across documents, email and meetings.

AI is used only to make text sound better instead of challenging the preparation.

Desired outcome

Prepare more systematically while keeping assumptions and authority visible.

Outcomes depend on information quality, context, negotiation skill, organisational policy and professional judgement. No result, price or agreement is guaranteed.

Analyse the other side more systematically using available information.
Form hypotheses about interests, concerns, decision-makers and possible red lines.
Map dependencies, alternatives, urgency and exchange value.
Prepare a firm and defensible opening proposal.
Practise arguments and counters against different styles and scenarios.
Build a disciplined concession plan with conditions and reciprocity.
Draft clearer negotiation emails and counterproposals.
Centralise scenarios, agreements, actions and next steps.
Build a reusable AI negotiation cockpit with explicit human approval points.

Responsible use and governance

Confidentiality, ethics, source verification and human judgement remain visible.

Copilot supports preparation. Authorised professionals remain responsible for facts, conduct, pricing, contracts, communication and decisions.

This page does not provide legal, financial, psychological, procurement or compliance advice. Final decisions remain with authorised professionals.

Never present a hypothesis as a fact.
Verify sources and test every assumption against case knowledge.
Use confidential negotiation information only in approved environments.
Apply data minimisation and least-privilege access.
Do not place personal or commercially sensitive data in public tools.
Make missing, contradictory and uncertain information explicit.
Review every message, counterproposal and confirmation before sending.
Obtain legal review for contractual, binding or high-risk wording.
Keep price, concession and commitment authority with authorised professionals.
Avoid bias, stereotyping and unsupported personality or emotion claims.
Avoid manipulative, deceptive, coercive or discriminatory practices.
Use BATNA and ZOPA as contextual preparation concepts, not automated conclusions.
Keep logs, versions, ownership and lifecycle controls for reusable assistants.
Escalate to legal, finance, procurement, sales leadership, privacy or security.
Use only fictional, anonymised or explicitly approved cases in public demos.
Audience and suitability

For professionals who prepare and follow up business negotiations.

Suitability depends on role, case maturity, information access, organisational policy and the confirmed Microsoft environment.

Suitable when

Sales, procurement, account management or business-development teams want stronger preparation.

Project leaders, lawyers, contract professionals, managers or team leads negotiate in their work.

The organisation can provide fictional, anonymised or explicitly approved cases.

Participants want to challenge assumptions and practise scenarios across Microsoft 365 apps.

The goal is a reusable cockpit under human control.

Less suitable when

A complete legal contract or psychological profiling course is required.

The expectation is automated pricing, decision-making or autonomous negotiation.

The organisation expects a guaranteed win, better price or agreement.

The need is Microsoft 365 administrator training or negotiation certification.

The aim is deception, coercion, manipulation or exploitation of vulnerability.

Frequently asked questions

Clear boundaries before participation.

Who is this training for?

It is intended for sales, procurement, account management, business development, project, legal, contract and management professionals who prepare business negotiations.

Is negotiation experience required?

No fixed level is confirmed. Some business-negotiation context helps participants apply the cockpit to a realistic case.

Is technical prior knowledge required?

No technical prior knowledge is required. Participants should be comfortable using standard Microsoft 365 applications.

Which Microsoft 365 Copilot licence is needed?

Exact licences, service plans, rollout, administrative settings and feature availability must be confirmed for the organisation before registration.

Can I attend without an active licence?

Observation may be possible only if the final delivery format allows it. Hands-on participation requires confirmed access to the capabilities used.

Must I bring my own negotiation case?

A personal or recognisable case is recommended or required, but it must be fictional, anonymised or explicitly approved and suitable for the training environment.

Can I work with confidential dossiers?

Only in an approved environment and under organisational policy. Public forms, public demos and unapproved tools must not receive confidential dossiers.

How is sensitive information protected?

Use data minimisation, least privilege, approved storage, authorised sources and human review. Security and GDPR wording requires organisational validation.

Can Copilot really “read” the other party?

No. It can structure questions and hypotheses from available information, but it cannot reliably detect intentions, emotions, personality or hidden motives.

How reliable are the hypotheses and power map?

They are preparation aids. Reliability depends on source quality, context, assumptions and human challenge; the map is not objective or complete.

What is BATNA and how is it used?

BATNA is the best alternative to a negotiated agreement. It helps frame options and walk-away thinking, but must be evaluated by authorised professionals in context.

What does the five-style argument trainer involve?

It rehearses rational, emotional, hard, evasive and political interaction scenarios. These styles are practice devices, not diagnoses of real people.

Will I build a negotiation assistant?

The programme includes prototyping a bounded assistant in Agent Builder where access is available. It has no pricing, contractual, concession or decision authority.

Is the cockpit directly usable after the training?

Participants leave with a reusable structure, but every real use requires adaptation, source verification, organisational controls and human approval.

Can the training be delivered in-company or adapted?

An in-company or adapted format may be discussed through the approved commercial process. Scope and delivery details require confirmation.

In which languages is it available?

English, French and Dutch versions are represented in this prototype. Final delivery languages require confirmation.

Which materials or follow-up are included?

Included materials, support and follow-up have not been confirmed and must not be assumed before a formal proposal.
